City of West Hollywood's Moderation Policy

Your use of the City of West Hollywood’s (“City”) community engagement platform at engage.weho.org (“Platform”) is subject to the City’s Social Pinpoint Policy (“Policy”) outlined herein which may be updated from time to time, and incorporated herein by this reference. In addition, the Terms of Use (“Terms”) https://engage.weho.org/terms-use and the Privacy Policy at https://www.weho.org/city-government/communications, as well as Social Pinpoint’s moderation policy at https://www.socialpinpoint.com/moderation-policy/ shall also apply to your use of the Platform.

The City’s Platform is provided to promote and disseminate information regarding City projects, policies, events, and announcements. The Platform is not a public forum. The City is not responsible for and does not endorse any content generated by users on the Platform.

The City encourages constructive comments and feedback related to the postings and the City’s business (“Comments”). The City does not discriminate based on viewpoint, but may remove Comments and restrict access to users for violating this Policy.

Comments may be removed if they contain, constitute, or link to: o Malicious or harmful code of conduct;

  • Advertisements, promotions, or solicitations of a commercial product or services;
  • Confidential, personally identifying, or private information in violation of a party’s privacy rights
  • Profanity, nudity, indecency, or obscenity
  • Threats of violence to a person or to public safety
  • Content that violates a third party’s intellectual property rights
  • Disruptively repetitive content
  • Content that is irrelevant to the subject matter of the post or the purpose of this Platform.

Additionally, please do not post any content that may be confidential as the Comments may be publicly viewable. Any reports or complaints pertaining to a City employee should not be posted on the Platform but shall be directed to the City Manager or the employee’s supervisor as appropriate as this is not the appropriate venue to address personnel issues.

Users may be temporarily or permanently restricted from accessing the engagement platform if they repeatedly and consistently violate this Policy. To contest the restriction of access to the Platform, please contact the City of West Hollywood at engage@weho.org with an explanation of the issue and grounds for reinstatement. Please contact the City of West Hollywood at engage@weho.org to report any posts or conduct that are in violation of this Policy.
