Grand Opening of STORIES: The AIDS Monument
Update: Due to a forecast of rain on Sunday, November 16, the Foundation for The AIDS Monument has announced that the 4 p.m. Ceremony for the Grand Opening event will move from the outdoor plaza of the Pacific Design Center to the indoor SilverScreen Theatre. Thank you for your understanding as adjustments are made.
STORIES: The AIDS Monument will officially unveil to the public on Sunday, November 16, 2025. The Grand Opening ceremony will take place in the SilverScreen Theatre of the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood across from The AIDS Monument.
Schedule: Arrive for seating beginning at 3:00 p.m. Grand Opening ceremony is from 4:00-5:15 p.m. Attendees are invited to walk through the Monument after the ceremony. After-Party is at The Abbey, 692 N. Robertson Blvd., West Hollywood (walking distance from Grand Opening ceremony) from 5:45-7:15 p.m.
Parking: Limited paid parking available in West Hollywood municipal parking garage, 625 N. San Vicente Blvd. Additional paid parking ($18 per car) is available at Pacific Design Center; enter at 8687 Melrose Ave. Ride-share or public transportation is highly recommended.
Dress: Classy but comfortable. The Grand Opening ceremony is outdoors so please dress accordingly.
